Labor Day

For Labor Day Ainsley and her family went to Tallahassee, home of Chief Osceola and his trusty friend Apache. While she didn't get to meet those two, she did get to see all kinds of other animals at the Tallahassee Museum and Wakulla Springs.

She got to walk through cypress swamps,


see a rare Oscelot,


a bald eagle and an otter,


a Florida Panther,

and a white tail buck deer (not munching on clover).


Then she took her first boat ride through Wakulla Springs (home Tarzan and the Creature from the Black Lagoon)...


where she saw mantees, turtles sunning themselves in a row, and all kinds of birds.
